Statement of Faith

GOD: We believe in the one true God, who exists eternally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

God the Father: God is the Creator of the universe and all that exists within it. He is all powerful, righteous, holy, and loving.

God the Son: God the Son, whose name is also Jesus Christ, is not a created being. He is the first born over all creation, by very nature equal to God the Father. Loving the world, God the Father sent His Son to be conceived by the Holy Spirit of a virgin, and born a man. For the sins of the world He was crucified, and on the third day He rose again from the dead. He has completed for us a perfect salvation, whereby men and women may through faith be made righteous between God and man. He ascended into heaven, and from there He shall return.

God the Spirit: God the Holy Spirit is the Counselor sent by the Father. He has personality; he is a full member of the Holy Trinity. The Holy Spirit convicts men and women of sin and leads them to repentance. It is He who gives spiritual rebirth and He who sanctifies; He dwells within the inner beings of believers, leading them into truth. He is the source of the believer's life, work, and strength.

Bible We believe in the Bible to be God-breathed and without error. It is the sole basis of our faith, life and service as a church of Jesus Christ.

Man We believe that all the people have fallen into sin, the just penalty for which is eternal death. Only by believing Jesus Christ, who shed His blood for our forgiveness, may we be saved and enter into eternal life.

Church We believe the Church to be the Body of Christ. It consists of all true Christians who have been born again by the Spirit and forgiven of their sins. Christ is the Head of the Church, and all Christians are under His leadership. Together they cooperate to serve God, spread the Gospel, lead men and women to Christ, and bear witness to the resurrection of the Lord. Local churches are the groups formed by men and women for these specific purposes in their respective locations.
